On May 14, 2009, some ten thousand people marched through the streets of Ottawa for the 12th annual National March for Life. The event marked the passing of the Omnibus Bill from May 14, 1969 which took away all restrictions on abortion in Canada, effectively allowing abortion-on-demand.
